Where can i go to get more help? IRC?

Now that 2.0 has been released and the forum is alive and kicking. i thought i would mention IRC again.i'm very pleased that #nexuiz has come back to life and the discussions have a wide range of topics. a lot of the time we talk about how to do specific stuff in nexuiz, everything from movement to the best config that gives the most FPS. my point is its a good place to get help and it's even more fun to play when you know the other players better :)

Network is Quakenet.org
Channels #nexuiz (Main) but also #nexuiz.de #nexuiz.se #nexuiz.be

If you've never used an irc client before its very easy install. i recomend xchat because its available for linux/mac/windows

1. download Xchat windows, linux version should be avialable with most distributions, src is here
2. start xchat and you will be prompted with Xchat Server List window.

3. find QuakeNet in the Networks list, check Skip server list on startup option below and ofcourse choose a nickname
4. Click Edit and select a server near you and check autoconnect at start up

5. put #nexuiz in Channels to join field.
6. Click Close
7. Click Connect

Congratulations you're now connected to irc and on #nexuiz main channel. From here any user can help :)

EDIT2:PLEASE expect to wait longer then 10 min for a reply!
People don't sit and read every line every minute, it's more common to glance at what's been said now and then. So please have patience.

EDIT:here are some alternative clients that GDI+/esteel Posted in another thread (just copy'n'pasted)

What about the channel on irc.anynet.org? There's one there, too!

think that the anynet channel use to be the developper channel, where they meet them to speak about... development :)

Can be useful for bug report, even if a forum post is far better coz other people with the same problem can find the solution without asking with the search function, but most of the questions can be answered on the #nexuiz channel...

Here is another site for IRC info,

http://www.irchelp.org

Firefox users may also want to check out Chatzilla.
Download link here

For those of you don't use Firefox, perhaps Internet Explorer, I recommend checking it out.

For Mac users, the best IRC client is Colloquy. Open source, very user friendly, and pretty advanced.

Get it here:
